If you're after a simple online product catalogue, or a complete online ordering system, I can design and develop all aspects of e-commerce based sites including searchable catalogues, shopping cart functionality, credit card transactions and a CMS if required, allowing you to update the sites products and content yourself.

I generally like to recommend using 3rd party payment processing systems, e.g. PayPal and Google Checkout rather than managing credit card transactions through the website itself for a number of reasons:

  • Customer peace of mind. Online shoppers are more likely to know (and trust) payment systems such as PayPal.
  • Sensitive information such as credit card numbers are processed and verified on an external site.
  • More cost effective as no need to invest in extra security.
  • Relatively easy to setup.
